ISP Router & Gateway Login Guides

ISP-provided gateways differ from retail routers — most have unique per-unit passwords on the device label, ISP-locked settings, and companion apps. Select your provider for a tailored guide.

Key difference: ISP gateways often have limited admin access. The ISP can push firmware, change settings, and lock features remotely. For full control, connect your own router and put the gateway in bridge/passthrough mode.

ISP Gateway vs Your Own Router

ISP gateways combine a modem and router in one box — simple, but limited. For better performance or full control, enable bridge mode on the ISP gateway and connect your own router behind it.

  1. Enable bridge mode or IP Passthrough on the ISP gateway
  2. Connect your own router to the gateway's LAN port
  3. Configure everything on your own router

See the router vs modem guide for more detail, or the AT&T BGW320 IP Passthrough guide as a practical example.
