Verizon Fios G3100 Router Login

The Verizon Fios G3100 is Verizon's WiFi 6 router deployed with Fios Gigabit service. It replaced the older G1100 and features dual-band WiFi 6 (802.11ax), WPA3, and a 2.5 Gbps WAN port for multi-gig fiber. Admin access is at 192.168.1.1.

Port Forwarding on G3100

  1. Log in at 192.168.1.1
  2. Firewall → Port Forwarding
  3. Click Add
  4. Enter the application name, protocol, external port, and the device IP/internal port
  5. Click Apply

First set a DHCP reservation for the device you're forwarding to (Connected Devices → select device → Reserve IP) to ensure its IP doesn't change.

Troubleshooting

192.168.1.1 redirects to Verizon website: Make sure you are connected to your home Fios network, not Verizon mobile data. On a phone, turn off mobile data before trying. Type http://192.168.1.1 — do not use https.

Admin password not working: The label password is case-sensitive. Common confusion: 0 vs O, 1 vs I. If the router was replaced, the new unit has a different label password.

WiFi speeds below gigabit: The G3100 WiFi 6 tops out around 1.8 Gbps on 5 GHz with ideal clients. For gigabit+ over WiFi, use the 5 GHz band with a WiFi 6 device. Wired connections via the LAN ports are limited to 1 Gbps each.
