Default Router IP Addresses

Your router's admin panel is accessed through a local IP address — called the default gateway. Type it directly into your browser's address bar (not the search box) while connected to your home network.

Don't know your IP? Windows: open Command Prompt → type ipconfig → look for Default Gateway. Mac: System Settings → Network → Details. Or use the Find Router IP guide.

IP Login Not Working? Common Fixes

  • Use http://, not https:// — router admin panels rarely use SSL
  • Type in address bar, not search box — search box will Google it
  • Must be on WiFi or Ethernet — mobile data won't reach your home router
  • Disconnect VPN — VPNs route traffic away from your local network
  • Try incognito window — avoids cached redirects
  • Run ipconfig to find your actual gateway — your router may not use the default IP
Still can't get in? See the forgot router password guide for factory reset steps, or the default router passwords list for credentials.
