What You Can Configure

Wireless Settings: WiFi name and password for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Guest network. WPA3 support on newer models. Band steering controls.

Connected Devices: All connected devices with MAC addresses and connection type. Device naming for easier identification.

Parental Controls: Time-based internet access schedules per device. URL filtering available on some models.

Port Forwarding: Virtual server rules under Advanced → NAT. DHCP reservation needed first for the target device.

HiLink App

Huawei provides the HiLink app (iOS and Android) as an alternative to the web interface. For 4G CPE devices, HiLink manages mobile data usage, signal strength, APN settings, and SMS messages — functions not available in the web interface. For WiFi routers, HiLink offers the same settings as the web panel plus remote access via Huawei ID.

Troubleshooting

192.168.3.1 vs 192.168.100.1: 192.168.3.1 is for Huawei WiFi routers (AX/WS series). 192.168.100.1 is for Huawei 4G/LTE CPE devices and older DSL modems. If one does not work, try the other.

ISP-locked Huawei gateways: Many ISPs in Europe, Asia, and Africa deploy Huawei-made gateways with modified firmware. The admin credentials are on the label. Some settings may be locked — contact your ISP for changes.
