Cudy Router Login

Cudy is a newer Chinese networking brand targeting the budget-to-mid-range segment, notable for aggressively pricing WiFi 6 routers below what most competitors offer. Their admin IP stands out: 192.168.10.1 — they use the 192.168.10.x subnet rather than the ubiquitous .1.x or .0.x that most brands default to. This prevents IP conflicts with common ISP equipment and neighboring routers, but it means the usual "try 192.168.1.1" advice doesn't work.

The hostname cudy.net also works as an alternative on models that support it. Default credentials are admin / admin.

Cudy's Value Proposition

Cudy emerged in the WiFi 6 era as a brand offering AX1800 and AX3000 routers at prices well below established brands. For buyers who want WiFi 6 features (OFDMA, WPA3, better multi-device handling) without paying ASUS or NETGEAR prices, Cudy fills the gap. The tradeoff is less brand recognition, fewer firmware updates over the device lifetime, and a smaller support community compared to TP-Link or NETGEAR.

Cudy's admin interface is clean and resembles TP-Link's Basic UI — straightforward menus without the complexity of ASUS or MikroTik. This makes it accessible for users who just want to set a WiFi password and not think about networking.

How to Log In

  1. Connect to the Cudy WiFi or via ethernet — default WiFi name is usually "Cudy-XXXX" (last 4 of MAC)
  2. Open a browser and go to http://192.168.10.1
  3. Username: admin   Password: admin
  4. On first login, you'll be prompted to change the password — Cudy recommends setting a stronger one during setup

Change WiFi Password

  1. Log in at 192.168.10.1
  2. Go to WiFi → WiFi Settings (or Wireless → Basic)
  3. Update the 2.4 GHz password, then repeat for 5 GHz if you have separate bands
  4. Save — all connected devices need the new password

Troubleshooting

ProblemFix
192.168.1.1 doesn't workCudy uses 192.168.10.1 — the .10.x subnet, not .1.x
admin/admin rejectedPassword was changed during setup or by another user — factory reset to clear
cudy.net not loadingNot all Cudy models support the hostname — use 192.168.10.1 directly
WiFi 6 speeds not as expectedConfirm both router and client device support WiFi 6 (AX). Most laptops have AX; most older phones do not.

Factory Reset

Hold the reset button on the back or bottom of the router for 10 seconds with the router powered on. The LED flashes and the router reboots. After reset, admin/admin credentials apply again and the router returns to the 192.168.10.1 default.
