Tenda Router Login

Tenda is a Chinese networking brand that has quietly become one of the most popular budget router choices in Asia, South America, and emerging markets — and increasingly in the US as well. Their routers are notable for an unusually clean admin interface and a quirky default credential policy: older Tenda models have no admin password at all. You just hit the login button. Newer models either require you to create one on first setup, or use a label-printed password.

The admin address is 192.168.0.1 or the local hostname tendawifi.com — similar to how TP-Link uses tplinkwifi.net. The hostname only works when connected to the Tenda network; it's not a real internet domain.

How to Log In

  1. Connect to Tenda WiFi or plug in via ethernet
  2. Open a browser, go to http://192.168.0.1 or http://tendawifi.com
  3. For older models: leave the password blank and click Login
  4. For newer models: enter the password you set during initial setup
  5. You'll see Tenda's dashboard — cleaner and simpler than most router UIs

Tenda's Interface Philosophy

Tenda deliberately keeps the admin interface simple. The main menu has fewer options than ASUS or NETGEAR equivalents — Wireless, Internet Settings, Advanced, and System. This is a feature for less technical users, but can be limiting if you need specific controls like VLAN tagging, detailed QoS rules, or advanced firewall settings. For those features, look at higher-end alternatives.

Change WiFi Password

  1. Log in at 192.168.0.1
  2. Go to Wireless in the top menu
  3. Select your WiFi band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz)
  4. Update the WiFi Password field
  5. Click OK — all devices disconnect and need the new password
